Q.1.What are the next steps, now that we have received the reviews of our submissions (abstracts)?

For further planning of the event, though we will keep you all posted, listed below are some next steps/ actions:
  • Submit revised abstract in the light of the received feedback (if any). See submissions guidelines below (cf. response to Qs. 5 & 6)
  • Submit full paper by November 10, 2012 – meeting this deadline is helpful if you are thinking of getting your paper published in one of the journals associated with ELLTA (see relevant information on the website: http://ellta.org/ellta-2012-publication/.
  • REGISTER now to get benefit of the Early Bird Registration Fee, which closes by October 30, 2012
  • Early booking of hotels, flights would also be useful. See details: http://ellta.org/travel-and-accomodation/
  • Submit your profile (80-100 words) to ELLTA 2012 (ellta_2012@ellta.org)  i.e. ONLY IF you haven’t already done so

  • The link is accessible using the following options:
  1. Option A (Indirect Access): Go to the conference website: www.ellta.org>>Next, Click on the link option in green “Abstract Submission” on the bottom left on the web page>>it will give you access to your account
  • Option B (Direct Access): Click on the following direct link: https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/ELLTA2012/Default.aspx.
  1. Next, insert your ‘Email’ (your email address where you receive all these communications)>>and ‘log in’>>it will take to the ‘Author Console’.

Q.3. How do I access the Review of my submission (abstract)?

  • On this page (i.e. ‘Author Console’), you will find on the left, the column for Paper Decision>>the column indicates the ‘Status’ of the submission and below it, an icon which says, ‘Reviews’.
  • Click on this icon to access your Reviews.
  • In case you face any difficulty in doing so, kindly let us know.

Q.4. What do I do if I am facing problems in Logging in?

  • In case you face any problem in ‘logging in’, please, reset your password by clicking on the option, ‘Reset here’.
  • Please do not hesitate in writing back to us if you need any further assistance in this regard or if the problem persists (do let us know if it worked for you).

Q.5. I have received reviewers’ feedback on the submission (abstract), what are the guidelines for resubmission?

  • Submit revised abstract (of maximum 150-200 words, describing focus, purpose/ rationale/ significance, method, theoretical contributions, and implications; Times New Roman, 12p), along with full paper submission (unless comments require major revisions) and with Five keywords (in case of targeting Special Issue, follow the journal’s guidelines for authors)
  • Resubmit abstract through the same link that you used earlier to submit your abstract: https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/ELLTA2012/Default.aspx
  • Please note that the abstracts of all papers presented at the conference will be printed as an appendix to the conference program (and possibly on the website as well), and that is why we need resubmission of all abstracts using the above guidelines

Q.6. I have received any comment by reviewers requiring me to re-submit; do I also need to resubmit my abstract? If yes, what are the guidelines for resubmission?

Q.11. I am from developing world – Is there any concession for me?

  • Certainly! The conference fee for delegates from the developing world has consciously been kept at low, so as to facilitate access.

Q.12. Is the conference fee for each paper or each delegate?

  • Registration is a must for everyone who wishes to participate at the ELLTA Conference. Please, note that one full registration fee is required for each conference delegate.

Q.13. What does the conference fee pay for?

Conference fee pays for the conference expenses, which include:
  • Participants’ lunches during the conference days,
  • Conference dinner
  • Cultural evening
  • keynote speakers
  • Conference venue, equipment and resources
  • Programme book and conference materials
  • City tour
  • Etcetera

Q.14. Who finances my travel and accommodation?

  • This conference follows the usual/ normal procedures that conferences generally follow: Unless specified otherwise, it is customary for the participants to pay/ arrange for their travel and accommodation (conference organizers may facilitate the process or provide relevant, useful info).

Q.15. Can ELLTA Conference facilitate my travel and accommodation?

  • At the moment, the conference does not have any such funding available; however, I think there could be other options at your university or with similar external grants bodies or commissions that support scholars in their research and dissemination efforts. We do sincerely hope that you are able to get some assistance from these sources.
  • Often, if the real value of money is delivered, it is worth spending – what we can offer is how you can maximize these opportunities, turn it into a very exciting and enriching experience and add more value to your whole experience (see top 10 reasons above if you do not find enough conviction to make efforts)
  • If you join the Linked In Group for ELLTA 2012, you may get some suggestions from colleagues on accessible travel and accommodation options, too.
