Professor Dato’ Dr Ibrahim Ahmad Bajunid is the President of the Malaysian Association of Educational Management and Leadership; and the former Director of the Regional Center for Educational Planning (UNESCO-RCEP), Sharjah, UAE, and the National Institute of Educational Management and Leadership (IAB), Malaysia. He is a professor of management, education and the social sciences. He was a member of the committee to study, review and make recommendations for the reform on higher education in Malaysia. Professor Bajunid has been appointed as a member of the National Advisory Council for education. He is Fellow of the Council of Educational Administration in Commonwealth Countries, Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS), Malaysia. He is the recipient of the National Educational Leadership Award, for distinguished and exemplary leadership across institutional, national and international contexts.
Professor Bajunid has been a key figure in the field of educational management and leadership in Malaysia for more than two and a half decades, and exercises many leadership roles and has provided consultancy services in policy-making governmental committees, private sector and NGOs. Professor is the recipient of the “Tokoh Kepimpinan Pendidikan Kebangsaan†the National Educational Leadership Award, the highest Educational Leadership Award in Malaysia awarded only to a few individuals who have demonstrated distinguished and exemplary leadership across institutional, national and international contexts.
