Dr Abdul Hannan Waheed

Dr. Abdul Hannan Waheed is educated in Kuwait, Egypt, UK, India and Australia; which facilitated him to gain a wide-range of global cultural experiences in addition to education. After doing Bachelor of Education and Literature at Al-Azhar University in Egypt, he obtained his Master of Arts in Internatiinal Education from the University of Sussex, UK and his PhD was in the area of higher education quality assurance from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2014. Dr. Hannan is an expert in Higher Education Quality Assurance (QA) and is listed on the Database of (higher Education QA) consultants of Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN). A qualified English teacher, he is also a language expert in his bilingual capacity in Arabic and English and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) of UK and holds the language title of MCIL. In addition to that, Dr. Hannan is a current affairs analyst and appears in that capacity on local TV channels, especially VTV in the Maldives. He is also a skilled Arabic calligrapher. He has also been working closely with the commonwealth of Learning as a member of the Transnational Qualifications Framework (TQF) Management Committee. Hence, he has expert knowledge in qualifications frameworks.
