Maria Guajardo is Vice-President and Professor at Soka University, Tokyo, Japan. Her expertise includes leadership, with a focus on women, global competencies and leadership development. She is the founding director of the Women’s Leadership Initiative at Soka University. As a professor, researcher, author, and international trainer she follows the motto, discover your potential. A recent publication includes Women’s Leadership Development within Japan’s Higher Education System. Maria, a licensed clinical psychologist, received her A.B. from Harvard University, and her M.A. and PhD from the University of Denver.
