Takayoshi Maki

Associate Professor in Human Resource Development for Education at Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation (IDEC), Hiroshima University, Japan. His primary research interest is in teacher education in Thailand, where he was an exchange student at Chulalongkorn University for a year and a visiting researcher at the Ministry of Education for 8 months. Currently, he works with researchers and practitioners in Malawi, Zambia, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar besides Thailand. His research laboratory strives to build an atmosphere for conducting long-discussion in multiple languages including indigenous languages for study sites, Japanese, and English, and to be a collective entity of truth-seekers who are strongly motivated, operating by the motto ‘research as my daily meal.’
